UK North Sea Platform Operations
Imperial Energy Services has been operating continuously in the UK North Sea for the past 40 years, following the award of its first platform drilling contract by BP in 1974 to carry out drilling and maintenance activities on the Forties Field.
Today Imperial Energy Services continues to carry out drilling and maintenance operations in the UK Continental Shelf for 5 clients across 10 platform operations:

Imperial Energy Services has been, and continues to be, responsible for completing major upgrades of existing platform drilling facilities for several of our clients. These upgrades have been carried out with assistance from our design and engineering division RDS. Projects include complete rig refurbishments, rig upgrades for extended reach drilling, installation of top drive systems, cuttings handling systems, drill-floor mechanisation and through-tubing rotary drilling.
We also carry out conceptual studies for a variety of clients who are looking to re-develop marginal fields with cost effective solutions such as bespoke modular drilling systems.
